Why we are proud sponsors of the Greening the Healthcare Sector Forum

‘Working towards a net zero emissions, climate resilient, equitable and environmentally sustainable healthcare sector: ensuring good health for all'

EcoAid is a proud sponsor of the upcoming Greening the Healthcare Sector Forum. With the theme, ‘Working towards a net zero emissions, climate resilient, equitable and environmentally sustainable healthcare sector: ensuring good health for all', this year’s program is based around the core themes from the Global Road Map for Health Care Decarbonisation.

As passionate advocates for sustainable medical solutions we are excited to be joining like-minded partners in this event, including the Climate Health Alliance.

The Forum will feature current research and policy to support the transition to net zero carbon, environmentally sustainable, equitable, and climate resilient healthcare, and showcase practical examples of environmentally sustainable healthcare in action. It will provide an opportunity for connection, knowledge sharing, learning, and upskilling.

At EcoAid, we are dedicated to continuing to reduce the use of plastics in hospitals through our range of biodegradable, eco-friendly products. Since 2005, we have saved over 28 million pieces of hospital plastic from the environment.

Australian hospitals consume an estimated 70 million plastic medical products every year – and hundreds of thousands of tonnes end up in landfill and our oceans. Sponsoring and attending events such as the Greening the Healthcare Sector allow us to meet with like-minded people and share ideas about how we can continue to work towards eliminating plastic waste from hospital systems.
